Bat Speed: faster hands, the same swing
Bat Speed is a focused 4-week, 12-session program that trains a hitter to move the bat faster without making the swing longer, losing direction or sacrificing barrel control.
The goal is not simply to swing harder. It is more usable bat speed, with the swing still under control: move the bat faster, keep the swing.
Sport: Baseball and Fastpitch. Ownership and player access are kept separate by sport.

Who Bat Speed is for
- Baseball and fastpitch hitters who need to move the bat faster.
- Hitters who add speed by swinging harder and end up with a longer path, poorer balance and less barrel control.
- Players already in Hitting Development: Bat Speed is a separate program, and one session of each may be completed on the same day.
Swinging harder is not the same as more bat speed
Many hitters try to create more bat speed by simply swinging harder. The result is often a longer path, poorer balance and less barrel control. The Coach Bass 4-Week Bat Speed Program trains the hitter to create more speed while keeping the swing direct and under control.
What the hitter trains
- Create faster hand action
- Improve front-hand whip
- Deliver the barrel more efficiently
- Increase intent without making the swing longer
- Maintain direction at higher effort
- Keep balance while swinging faster
- Handle changing pitch location
- Adjust to changing pitch speed
- Use bat speed in hitter's counts
- Transfer bat speed into competitive at-bats

From hand speed to the at-bat
The 12 sessions build speed first, then test it against what a game asks for:
- Hand speed and barrel delivery — Faster hand action, front-hand whip, the barrel delivered efficiently Coach Bass lesson →
- Controlled intent — More intent without making the swing longer
- Changing pitch location
- Changing timing — Adjusting to changing pitch speed
- Competitive at-bats — Using bat speed in hitter's counts and in the game
One of three hitting programs
Hitting Development builds the whole hitter over 12 weeks; Bat Speed spends four weeks on speed; Power Hitting turns the swing into harder contact over six. Each is its own structured program with separate ownership: buying one does not unlock another.
None of them is included in the Coach Bass membership.
