Speed & Agility Development: from the first step to game speed
Speed & Agility Development is a 12-week program for baseball and fastpitch players: first step, acceleration, change of direction and game speed, in 36 guided sessions.
You choose 2 or 3 training days a week and the player's goals before the first session, and the plan is built around them.
Sport: Baseball and Fastpitch. Choose the edition for your player's sport; each edition opens for players of that sport.
$99.99 one-time · sold separately from the Coach Bass membership

Who it is for
- Players who need to move faster on the bases and on defense.
- Baseball and fastpitch players, in the edition for their sport.
- Families who can train 2 or 3 days a week: 3 days takes 12 weeks, 2 days about 18.
More than more sprints
Speed work without a plan is usually just more sprints. This program puts the training in order: movement and body control first, then acceleration and the first step, then slowing down and changing direction, then reacting at game speed.
What the player trains
- Train first-step quickness and acceleration
- Slow down and change direction under control
- Move laterally with better body control
- React to game cues at game speed
- Carry the work onto the bases and on defense
- Follow a 12-week plan built around the goals you choose
How the program runs
- Length
- 36 guided sessions, completed in order: 12 weeks at 3 days a week, about 18 weeks at 2.
- Goals

- Readiness
- Every session starts with a readiness check. A report of pain stops that day's training.
